I often begin a painting because an image came to me in a dream, or because some kind of other world history starts to unveil behind my eyelids in images.
There’s a physical truth, where the thing has a form and there’s an ultimate
truth, where maybe nothing has a body or form.
I have come to think of painting as the act of coaxing an archetypal being from the world of the unseen into the world we can see.
These paintings and drawings are dream guides from other worlds, leading you inward, to the archetypal realms from which their forms emanate.
All my paintings are on stretcher bars of solid pine with unobtrusive, wooden frames. They come packed in a sturdy crate, ready to hang on your wall.
I use professional, artist grade pastels (they were voted the very best brand of soft pastels in the world) on museum quality, sanded pastel paper. The paper has been tested to last 300 years and the colors will never fade.

The paintings below are all at least 4ft by 4ft and some are closer to 8ft. They each took over a year or so to make and are thick with expressive paint.
Each image below links to a page of it’s own in which the paintings are discussed and many close up images are provided.
